  • Help with STC/337/??????on BL-65

Background- Basketcase, some work previously done (15 wing ribs instead of 13, wing fittings beefed per Harer STC, no wing tank , ready for cover)

Other changes per me- Ski lights, Harer STC baggage area, Cessna 150 gascolator, 5/16 fuel lines and valving per Harer, Cessna 150 muffler on left only for cabin heat. Add one wing tank. I want to retain the lycoming o145-b2.

What we have here is all of the Harer STC, less the engine change, plus muffler, gascolator, and ski lights.

Question is: What is the easiest way to accomplish these changes legally? Thanks in advance,
    Don Hernke

What gross weight did you want to go for? With that engine you have to stay with 1150 or 1200 why did you go to the -2 fittings. & the 5/16 lines and not upgrade to the 85 HP?

I would like to go for the 1200lb. gross weight. The Lycoming came with a fresh overhaul from El Reno aviation, and at this time do not want to spend the money on a 85hp.

        Don,

You can check on STC's by going to
http://www.airweb.faa.gov/stc than by TC.#700 or by Taylorcraft.
They are not all there, because I couldn't find the Poly Fiber STC, but
in there Manual, your BL-65 is listed.
        Hope this helps,

        Don
