  • lycoming to A-65 engine change

I'm in need of proper paperwork for this engine change, everyone, including my local fsdo, has a different idea of how to do it, stc, field approval, etc. I need help.

I thought it only has to be a logbook entry

this is a 1939 BF50 which was converted to a lyc o-145 b2 in the early sixties, the feds say there is no A-65 listed on the type certificate, thus my problem, this conversion has been done hundreds of times and I really don't wanna deal with my local fsdo unless its at gunpoint if ya know what I mean, I sent them a "conformation of conformity form" which is for making one model conform to another but they sent it back with 30 pages of field appproval instructions,.........bummer, got any ideas?

good news, I should just convert mine to an A-65 anyway.
