  • Marvel Carb Needle and Seat

Working on a basketcase 1939 model BL Taylorcraft. The Marvel carb is missing the needle, seat, and float. I have not been unable to find the parts. Is anyone firmiliar with using a Marvel MA-3 needle, seat, and float? I understand some machining is necessary. What needs to be done. Thanks Don Hernke

Re: Marvel Carb Needle and Seat

Hi Don, A fellow by the name of Mark Ballentine (P.O. Box 935, Shallowater Texas) can supply MA2 parts including the float needle and seat. The float needle I received from him has a rubber tip but they, apparently, can be problematic. Detailed information about their shortcomings is available in another thread on this site I believe. Cheers, Galt
