Magneto gears? What gear fits what mag?

What other mag can the gears from a Case mag be fitted onto? If any?
I know I have this info before on the website but I did not wrigth it down, sorry, I would apprichiate QUICK ANSWER.
Can you still by a distrubutor case for the Case mag? Does someone has a good one for sale?
The carbons in mine is on the loose side.

If the mags have impulse couplings they will work on slick mags. To use on Slick mags you have to drill out the rivits to remove the impulse assy. Once removed they will fit the Slick impulse coupling.
I may have a couple of Case mags. They would good for parts or core trade in for the Slick mags. See what you can find locally and I will look through my parts to see what I may or may not have.
The last Slick package I bought had mags, gears, shilded harness and 8 new Autolight spark plugs. About $1000 +or-???
If you do repair the Case mag check the distributaor block for carbon tracking. many years ago a very wise AI told me to use a pink pearl eraser to remove the carbon track. After all that carbon contact brush is nothing more than a large pencil. That carbon track and wide plug gap will cause cross fire under high power settings. If you ever experince a crossfire on climb out you might think you hit something. It will wake you up. I am told it has broken crankshafts and/or cases.

I learned something . I did not know the case gear would fit a slick mag. The gear that slick calls for is the same gear that Bendix mags uses.
I don't think Slick takes the case mag in on trade.
I got some case mags and part down stairs. What are you looking for, the cap or the rotor or both.
Let me know and I'll send you the best one I got.

Slick now Unision, took a set of Case mags from me for core however they must be complete except for the gears. The Eiseman mag gear with impulse coupling may be the same gear. The Eisman gear has a smaller bore however there may be a bushing in the gear to reduce the bore size. That bushing can be removed.
