  • A model spar nails

can any one tell me if it would be ok to use stainless nails when I reassemble
    the ribs to the spar?
I have tried to find "brass plated cement coated " nails but no one has the
    correct size.

    Re: A model spar nails

It seems like in a Corrision Control clas, the chart showe stainless and aluminum really didn't get along very well. I know from personal experience and the edges of the turbo housing of the Lockheed P-38, on three versions i've helped restore the aluminum was eaten away where the stainless touched the aluminum. Course it probably took quite afew years, and the P-38 was never expected to last very long. What size nails are you looking for? T.T.
