I get a lot of unusual mail these days. People find my web sites from around the world and ask lots of questions. Here's a good one............................................... .................................................. .
Hello my name is Alejandro Estevez and I live in Argentina.
I have a called aircraft Boyero, this aircraft was manufactured in my country in the years 50, this airplane is an exact copy of the Taylocraft.
I want to know how to modify my airplane to make it acrobatic.
Can you give me information to modify it?
Thank you.
Greetings Alejandro

So, I do a little searching on Google and it appears that there does exist an exact copy of our BC12-D's made by the Argentinians back in the late 40's to mid 50's.......the Boyero.
A translation from Spanish (by BableFish, not me) resulted in the following................................
This airplane of tourism two-seater was a monoplane of high-mounted wing, designed and construído in two units by the Military Factory of Airplanes; its design dates from year 1939 and the first unit was completed in 1940, making its first flight the 2 of November of that year; second, it fulfilled and both with highly satisfactory results the following year. Lamentably the F.M.A. it could not face his serial production, led the construction of military apparatuses, and therefore the construction was assigned to the company Sfreddo and Paolini in merit to its antecedents and recognized technical capacity; but this one could not either accomplish the mission assigned when not having certain materials, because of World War II.
Finished the warlike conflict, the construction of the apparatus could again be faced, task that assumed the Petrolini company Brothers, who made the first deliveries in 1949. 130 units were altogether constructed, destined to satisfy the necessities with the then Main directorate of Civil Aeronautics, that distributed between flying clubs and units to them of flight. Part of these airships also served in the Air Force and of the Army, and still many of them continue in activity.
Originally it was equipped with Continental motor A-50, of four horizontal opposite cylinders, air cooled and 50 HP, but the series version counted on a Continental motor A-65-8 of 65 HP and equal characteristics that the previous one; also some units were equipped with the A-75, of 75 HP, designated then 1.Ae.20-IIB. All these motors drove helices bípalas of fenolizada wood and fixed step; the constructed ones by the Factory took designation F.M.A. Nº 1, enteladas and with copper shield; the capacity of combustible was of 70 liters.
The fuselage was tubular of steel S.A.EX-4130, to chromium molybdenum, whereas varillado aerodynamic constrnyó with wood strips and fabric coating. The wings, of profile NACA 23012, counted on two stringers and one series of posts and diagonals of piano cords, to assure the triangulation and, therefore, the rigidity of the flat eave. The ribs and false rib were constructed with press-formed plates of duraluminio and the wing toes had negative incidence, to slow down the losses of lift. The ailerons, of metallic construction and had with fabric, were of the type "frisse", increasing the sustenation in the angles maximum, next to the loss of velocity; the ailerons tenian commandos differentials, and static and dynamic compensation. The empennages tantbién were metalists, whereas the rudder took compensators "to flettner" adjustable; the profiles used in the planes horizontal and vertical of tail, correspondian to series NACA 0006. The undercarriage was made up of two independent tetrahedrons, cushioned with rubber ring, counting in addition on mechanical brakes and tail wheel. The dual cabin, two-seater with seats side to side and controls, had ample visibility, with the jettisonable access doors in flight.
Characteristics: Spread, 11,50m; length 7,10; stop 1,80; wing area 17.70 m2; weight empty 325 kg; payload 225; gross weight 550; wing loading 31 Kg/m2; load by 8.5 HP Kg/Hp; terminal velocity 160 km/h; idem of cruise 140; speed mímima 55; ceiling 4000 ms; it reaches 650 km.
