REcovering nicely from a GI viral thingy, I went out to the a/c today with the intention to clean some parts. My A&P askes me if I wanna install the second set of bungies and I sez yes, so he gave me some instruction, some warning, and a borrowed bungee tool (thanks HW).
Working very carefully (when I get good, I'll get sloppy, but now I'm very careful) I stretched the cord to above the anchors, and when the time was right, the tool rotated 45^ with a 'click' and I was 'ligned up. Loosening the tool set the cups in place. a push with a blunt instrument and the cord fell into place. Cool. With the election on Th., the fed. is off, so I'll go back out there. This time it will be the nicopress fittings at the bell-crank end of the brake cables.
Did you know there was a second type of nicopress crimper? EAA talks about one that looks like a bolt cutter. My A&P handed me one that looks like a pipe flaring tool. Looks much easier to use than the 'bolt cutter'. = Mike
