It's time to replace my landing gear shock cords, the left side is lower than the right sitting on the ramp (with no pilot in the plane).
I looked up the pictures of the original and Darren's bungee tool.
The picture is great but...
A few important dimensions would allow me to build my own tool without having to crawl under my plane prior to the task at hand.
1 Gap distance (distance from end to end of the shock cord tabs in the plane)
2 Stroke length (distance of active thread for stretching)
3 Guide pin diameter (Old tool shows a pilot pin that probably engages in a hole in the cross tube between the cord tabs in the airplane)
