  • Barn find - Auster in the Netherlands

Anyone want to go help restore an Auster in the Netherlands?
    (in Dutch) http://nos.nl/artikel/2165706-histor...-gevonden.html
It seems that an Auster landed outside Amsterdam at the start of May 1945 and ended up being stored until recently rediscovered.
I hope that they can get it flying again...

Here is another link (also in Dutch) http://www.parool.nl/amsterdam/bijzo...nden~a4480895/
The owner of the plane does not want to be mentioned, but the plane is in mint condition and could basically still fly.
It is being cleaned up and will be on display at the start of May (Liberation Day on the Netherlands).
It was used to pick up Major Kamphuis who was important because he had information about the liberation of the city of Amsterdam in WWII.
