Instrument overhaul

Can anyone recommend a good instrument overhaul shop? I picked a name out of Trade-A-Plane and sent him my beautiful Kollsman airspeed. Big mistake. That was two months ago,and I'm still calling him every day trying to get my instrument back, overhauled or not. The wife tells me I'm not sending out any more instruments until I get a recommendation.

I did the Trade a Plane thing like you several years ago with the same results. Won't do that again as would you. Sorry no recommends.

Guys KEYSTONE ....Lockheaven PA. ONLY way to go From what little I know BUT $$$$$$
Then again if someone stole your instruments I guess $$$$$$ and $$$$$$ JIM

Bob also use the list . Perhaps we have a local GWEEDO in his area to pay him a shiny nuckel visit ? We need to stick together and smoke out any trash floating around . People like this have no place in our space in my opinion. JIM

Actually, I had trouble with Keystone once. The only place I send stuff to anymore is Dave Rogers at Instrument Pro in Oakland, CA. 510-635-1142. They've done everything from very rare World War 1 instruments to WW2 stuff for me. Never a complaint.

Keystone does a nice job. I sent Ken the 3-in-1 tach out of my '39 about three years ago. They did a great job on it, but be prepared to wait a little longer in my experience. I think he said it would take about 3 weeks to get it back to me. It ended up taking about 8 as I remember.

Keystone did my bubble face compass and did a good job. Took a little while but I knew that going in. They answer the phone and will talk to you. I haven't compared prices but they seem reasonable......Have a 3in1 cluster up there now.
