  • Antique Airplane Assoc.

Starting this Wednesday Aug.31st begins the annual Antique Airplane Associations fly in, at Blakesburg Iowa just south west of Ottumwa. Been going on since almost the founding of EAA and Paul Poberesny was a regular attender in the early days. Its is attended by 3 to 4 hundred vintage aircraft , with lots of activities, type club forums, movies fly overs , rides a memorial on Sunday for those "gone west" and general fun, usually has about 7 to 10 Tcrafts. Ends on Labor day. Recommended attendance for those seeking a good enriching aviation experience.
