  • What exhaust is this?

Anyone know what plane this goes on?

Look like a C150 style but the heat muff is suction only, no ram air.

It fits on a small Continental.

Any clues? It brand new never used.

It is factory made as far as I can tell.

    Thanks, Dave.

The cans can come from a source like this: http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalo...ontinental.php The muff looks rough and may be made to for that side of the system. Any mfg marks on the set?

          Re: What exhaust is this?

My knowledge of small Continental exhaust is limited to ownership experience. On my C-85 I have a Field Approved Reeve Airmotive Cessna 150 exhaust system conversion kit with muffler P/N 0450400-3 and -26, risers P/N 0450338-74, and tailpipe P/N's 0450338-67 & 0450338-66. These numbers may be correct but I can't confirm as the installer was given to frequent transposition or mis-typing of P/N/s in other documents.

From the Taylorcraft docs comes this C-150 conversion: http://www.taylorcraft.org/docs/c150%20muffler.pdf Note the similar P/N's for some and different for other components.

I gather from this the exhaust can be built with different sized (length) components (inlet headers/outlet stacks) depending on the airframe manufacturer's desire around core mufflers. Same for heat robber shrouds.

Maybe Dawley, Wag-Aero, or ? would have a better idea, especially when it comes to the ends of the cans which are normally larger in diameter to allow a space between the overlying shroud and can.

Then there's the C-120/140/150 mufflers...http://www.aviationpros.com/press_re...-from-wag-aero which have the end enlargement which your's doesn't. That may be the key for identifying the part.
