  • Continental A65 - FOR SALE - Best offer.

    Howdy everyone,
    I have a Continental A65 for sale.
It came out of my BC12D about 2 years ago at which time I elected to buy a newly rebuilt engine instead of putting this one back together. All the jugs had low compressions and cracks and were thrown away. So you would be getting the case and everything inside as well as a set of Bendix mags, the pushrods, valve covers, old wiring harness (non-shielded), the "spider" intake manifold and some other odds and ends. It had 360 hours on it when taken out and has been wrapped up in a box on my hanger floor.
What you are NOT getting is the oil sump, carb, cylinders or pistons. I had a log for it at one time and cannot find it at this moment but it should be around somewhere.
I would reccomend to any buyer that you at least have it inspected.
I am looking to get it gone soon (IE motivated)!

On a final note of interest to a prospective buyer - I have no idea how much it's worth! So send me your offer and I will do a silent auction I suppose.

To anyone that isn't interested - I would appreciate your thoughts on what this stuff might be worth.

Rusty do you have any info on the cam and crank. The 360 hrs on the engine was that after a major overhaul? If the cam and crank or good and the case is good I have and engine that needs them. Let me know.

The 360 hours was after a major (2600 TT) and I want to say that the cam is .010 under but that could've been my other engine. I am still looking for the logbook.

        Rusty -

We haven't heard from you in a "coon's age". What the heck are you up to up? Will you be at next year's Tcraft Rendezvous in Columbia CA?
