    Greetings all in Taylorcraft group.
I am new here but have been a TOC member from 1987 till 2004. I am Canadian (hey),and have owned a 1952 model 19 since 1987. Canada registration is CF-HAL. Yes, it has some history,....first plane owned by Dick Turner and written about in his book "Wings of the North". Last flight was way back in 1995. Now retired....I am in the process of restoring it. Looking thru service bulletins seems there are two,.... lift struts, and control sprocket.
As I near completion I will post some photos. Have already gained much from this forum.
    Sincere regards

    Re: Newbie

Welcome to the forum. My dad and I recently purchased another Conway Pa. Taylorcraft a 1953 Model 15A. There is also the AD to inspect the strut attachment fitting at the fuselage. That will be easy while it is apart. Actually interested to see what your instrument panel looks like. We do not have an original panel in our 15A and I know the 15As and the Model 19s had the same panel. Does yours have the turned aluminium bezel still? Thanks and again welcome.

My 19 had the same panel but I replaced with wiring, curcuit breakers, switches, radios, transponder and MGL engine monitor.
Retrieved my camera from my other plane this afternoon and took a photo but to large to attach here.

No our panel has been replaced at some point with a wood one. Not bad looking but not original. I did find what I think would be a good aftermarket part from the hot rod guys. Seems to match everything I have found. Just wondering if you still had the original in yours. Thanks.
