  • Tire Pump at Harbor Freight

    Hey guys,
Just wanted to pass along a "find". My T is based at an airport with no electricity, hence no air compressor. I found something really cool at Harbor Freight the other day. My T-Craft tires were low, so I was looking for a tire pump, since I never seem to have the air tank with me or it has no air in it. I found a little 12 volt tire inflater for $29.95. With a 20% off coupon, it only cost about $25. I pumped up the T-Craft and Fleet tires today. Works great. Comes with a 10 foot electric cord, built in ON-OFF switch, built in air gauge, and 5 feet of coil hose. All this in a nice little carrying bag. It says to start the compressor before screwing it onto the valve stem. What I found that works best for me is to plug it into the car, screw the hose on the valve stem, turn the compressor on, and then plug the hose onto the compressor. The compressor has a built in tire gauge so you can monitor the pressure. I found that I had about a 2 psi pressure drop. 20 psi on the gauge gets you 18 psi in the tire.
    Later,
    Mike
