      Lee,
You got the same system that hit us the night of the 23rd. Believe it or not, El Paso got 2 inches of snow from it. This being west Texas though, the sun came out on the 24th, and the snow was gone by noon.
We are going to have a high of 50 today, so I'm going to fire up "Manu Sina" once it warms up, and streach her wings. Merry Christmas to all.

You guys have the snow and probably don't have skis. I have skis and we don't have any snow. Here in Minnesota we should have snow by now. We had about an inch, but it melted. We are at least a foot short of that white stuff. Not that I'm complaining, it's really going to shorten this winter for us.
I'm almost afraid to put the wheels back on, cause then we'll get dumped on for sure. Forecast is for 47 degrees by Thursday.

No snow here, but lots of rain and fog.

Was still able to get an hours worth of flying in today. I even took advantage of the rain and washed all the mud off my plane!! Our grass runway is kinda swampy this time of year.

Snow in Louisiana, and bare ground in Minnisota??? What's next, the four horsemen??
Took "Manu Sina" out for two hours today, it was great flying over the West Texas area. Look to the north, and the mountains are all white, turn around and land on bare ground.

Here in Otis,Maine we have been having warmer than normal weather with heavy winds and rain. Today calm winds, no rain and temps in th low 30's. My grass strip is a sheet of ice and will be interesting to say the least on landings until more snow falls.

Vic, I am not supprised that Forrest can cook Gumbo, and probably as good as we do. He is a man of the world and has traveled some. Now how about "Grilades"? Cook any of that ? ( Cowboy Stew) Cooked in a natural gravey and severed over rice. (hell everything is with rice in south Louisiana). That how you can tell a real "Cajun" He can ook at a rice field and tell you how much gravy is going to take to cove it. LOl

Didn't fly yesterday, maybe today. Wamed up to 27 this morning ans suppose to be sunny, getting onto the low 50's. Damn seems like Yankee country here.

Keep the dirty side down and keep em flying

You new comers have missed out on the many things that I have traded for good "beads" over the years not those real cheap plastic ones either

WE used to have the "Cabana Club" here in Alliance, Etoufee, Jambalaya, Gumbo w/roux, Pralines, Rice a lot of ways ( ymmmm) Pilaf, Dirty Brown Pella and then out at the Airport we have done Crawfish Crab & Shrimp Boil . Oh yeah I love all that stuff. Kelli was reading over my shoulder and her jowls are dripping WOOF! WOOF! I think Patty & my daughter Mary will whip some good stuff up for the next fly-in.....
