This forumn seems to be really going good. the ventral fin drawings are here of course , the factory should have them too!
I would like to see any comments if they are worth doing. IT had to be put on for yaw stability during the test work. Mrs. Feris had four of them, I got one, sent it out to be copied & never got it back!!! The factory may have another one.
This Alaska gang needs to form a Regional group and plan some activities....When Reeve was a dealer I almost got the chance to deliver one F-19 up there ; oh well maybe next time.
What a great ship on floats!! I got my SES in the Taylorcraft N70K at Browns Seaplane Base about ten years ago.

      Vogel Lake

That sounds good, Dick. Why don't you tell us after you've checked it out this season and we'll set a date to meet there in Feb. or March? You'll have to tell us how to find it on the map, or coordinates for GPS, also. Did you get the wind down there much this week? I don't think it was as bad as predicted, but it might not be over yet! Steve.

        wind & coordinates

Steve, the wind hasn't been too bad here, probably 40 mph at most on this lake. I got up during the night and shined a spotlight down on the lake. Had already added extra tiedowns.
Haven't flown up to Vogel yet, but here are the coordinates, just for kicks. 60.988576,-150.434386 Dick

Does anyone have a picture that they could post showing the factory float fitting? I gather that it's a bushing welded into the cluster rather than a fitting welded "onto" the longeron. Also, since it's a factory option, can a non-seaplane version be modified with just a log book entry rather than STC or FA?
          Thanks in advance.
