  • Marvel Schebler 10-2948 Approved?

So...a friend is trying to piece some things together for a Taylorcraft (some of the pieces are mine, the bugger).

He prefers MS carbs...and found a 10-2948. Now, I know the 10-4233 is correct for the A-65 and A-75, and the 10-4240 is correct for the C-75 and C-85...but I have looked and can't seem to find a solid determination on the 10-2948. I'm guessing it may be an "obsolete" application that was approved at one time? I think I've seen them on a couple A-65 powered Luscombes, but my memory isn't what it used to be.

Anyone in the tribe using them or have a reference that's solid listing it? If some outfit would accept it as a core for a rebuilt 10-4233 it would be worth it for him to acquire, but that sort of thing is touch-and-go from my experience.

    thanks much

My old Facet Manual (obsolete section) lists the 10-2948 with

the Engine Application being the Continental A-65.

Thanks Ron...that's what I was thinking but I try to avoid assuming anything, as the old adage goes.
