Taylorcraft first purchase

50 years ago today, September 4, 1964, I bought my first airplane: 1946 Taylorcraft BC12D N96927 for $850.00. I flew it for 5 years and 500 hours and sold it in 1969 for $1200. I have been sorry ever since that I sold it. Reason for selling, I had a growing family and needed a bigger plane. I bought a Stinson 108 in 1968 for $2500.00 that I still own and fly. Since it is possible that sometime in the future I may have to resort to "Sport PilOT" status, I bought a damaged BC12D N96179, about 10 years ago to repair and have ready. Work on it has been slow.
