  • Alliance fly in

Forrest wanted me to pass along a reminder that the annual flyin is this weekend, and to share that he has had numerous computer issues, and thus has been away. He hopes to have them resolved soon. I will be at the flyin on the field starting weds and camping starting Friday should anyone require a ride into town. Hope to see some of you there!

        Re: Alliance fly in

Flyin was small this year. about 30-40 planes through Saturday evening. Threat of rain for Sunday killed that day. Had 11 Taylorcrafts on the field for the weekend. Myself, Paul and Dave Nuss in B models, and Doug Taylor in the 1st model A made a flight around the factory. Had the circus on the corner of the field Thursday evening. Was a great time for the kids. Here are a few photos. Have some more on other cameras. Was a nice and relaxed grassroots day.

He is doing well. As happy as I have seen him in a few years. Staying busy as only Forrest can.

                Re: Alliance fly in

The Taylorcraft reunion in Alliance this year was somewhat sparsely attended, I thought, but I had a good time anyway. Not many Taylorcrafts in attendance, but interesting ones, and old friends and familiar faces! And a nice assortment of other local fly-in aircraft. I was happy to be part of the three-ship fly-around of the factory (was supposed to be a four-ship, but the Model A had some sort of glitch before launching, and was late). Aerial photos of the fly-around were taken from Tim Newell's Piper Pacer. Next trip is to Oshkosh AirVenture!
