    Re: Bad Pilot, BAD Pilot

I was joking, like saying BAD dog, BAD dog. I know that I'm competant, but I want to be even better than I am now. That's why I'm going up with the missionary pilot in my Taylorcraft. I figure that he will be able to fine tune my skills when it comes to short steep approaches.

All this talk about fine tuning approaches remind me of my days of flying radio in C-121s on pilot training flights. One of the exercises was shooting high altitude off center approaches. It wasn't bad until I stood behind the pilots and watched the runway make like a windshield wiper. It's a lot different in a ship of that size than in an L-2. The students were already Naval avaitors amd had complied at least 500 hours in C-45s. Dick

Yeah, I know what you meant. My wife tells me I'm a BAD boy all the time, but I know I'm really wonderful. I have to approach over trees so I usually slip in then pull it out at the last minute wondering if this is going to be the one time the controls jam.
