Rudder Horn hit tails spring

Ok so I tried to install my rudder and the steering horn hits the tail spring, then I remembered this spacer. Is this a common occurrence?

Hi Dustin,

I had the same problem.

I hadn't had it when I previously used the steel rudder horn but I did when I used the aluminum one.
