In case anyone is interested I have a glare shield mounted Taylorcraft bubble face compass in mint condition for sale. These are as rare as the windshield mounted Taylorcraft compasses. Not cheap, but worth it.

On the 41 Deluxe it was part of the package, not an option. I understand on all the other versions before the war it was a extra cost option.

My '40 came with the bubble compass when dad bought it in 1943. It had been used as a trainer in Meridian, Cn. since new.
