  • Taylorcraft 2000 LLC Perhaps a new beginning: comments from Forrest Barber TF#1.

As a few know and many have been following on the forum , there is movement again in Brownsville , Texas for the Taylorcraft company to get going again with parts, service and new aircraft. We received a communication from Jessica Aldape, Customer Service manager, for Taylorcraft 2000, LLC ; 956-554-9166 e mail; [email protected] .
They are revising the web site now. I then engaged into many communications with Jessica and the officers of the company: Luis F. Aquirre, investor & owner. He has a great background in operating very successful companies . Juan A. Villalobos, part owner , know to me as Juan Antonio goes back to the former owners and has many years experience in industry. Both are manufacturing experts for the Maquiladoras on Mexico and the United States of America. They are working with the FAA offices out of San Antonio , the ACO, and will have a rep assigned to them real soon. They have sent in the forms to establish the PMA for parts and I have been consulting on the hiring of a Full time DAR & may act as flight test DER.
I am a A&P ,and A I for many years. The factory will share the business plan with any persons interested in furthering the operation. I will recommend some of our members to them for possible job opportunities. IT IS UP to them to participate on this forum.

Some have seen the letter about Miles Field Services settling their lawsuit against Steve & Sharon Krog; IT IS OVER . Steve & Sharon prevailed and will now get back to business ; this was a real problem since May, 2013 . Had to do with non-competition. I talked with Steve about 20 mins ago ALL is well. I had great hopes for Dana & Paul; oh well life goes on.
There are members and NON members on the forum that will not read or cannot read ALL the information that is posted FAQ and ALL the back newsletters.. they keep asking the same questions and it is very frustrating. Sooooo I will be consulting with the factory ; I will be writing for STEVE in the newsletter, going to AIR Venture , maybe SNF For you supporters of our efforts here in Alliance thank u one and All... The ball is now in the hands of Juan Antonio, Jessica and others at the factory ; let us know what is happening!!
IF I keep this thread open , Please send positive stuff..... I will jump back in a lot.... STEVE Krog is alive and well ; he can tell you the details I heard rumors nothing concrete, Steve is at 262-966-7627 At the factory we have Jessica at 956-554-9166 ; her Assistant is Patti .....
sorry to cut this short ; must plow snow and get parts out for a Model A being rebuilt.... more real soon. I am still at 330 495 5447

        Forrest,
"The paperwork is here for review if you stop by.."
I would love to stop by and look at the paperwork, but I am 1200 nm from you in Alliance and 38 nm from Brownsville. I want to help and my location near Brownsville makes it easy for me. 81 deg here Sunday.
I have 50 years of experience with Taylorcrafts.

Your attitude has been very encouraging. Hoping to hear from your top officers soon! Larry Wheellock, Buell Powell, Hank Jarrett, Ryan Newell, Terry Bowden, and many others ; should all contact you I cannot speak for any of them. They all have unique talents; Terry is what you need the most . Hope they come aboard.

There are many others too! I had to divert again today . Up here we had two more deaths; 6 in of snow. Property tax is paid . Van is out of repair shop. Have Juan Antonio call me Please!

Keep up the good work... Forrest TF#1

                Forrest,
Thank you. I cannot call you because I cannot hear well enough to have meaningful conversations by phone so I either have to do it via email or in person. I have the high priced Bose headphones and can hear controllers perfectly in the air, but nobody makes hearing aids that do the job.
Once I learn the physical address in Brownsville, I will go and see what I think. I had visited with Harry 2 or 3 times and did not leave with good thoughts especially after seeing what he did to the city of Brownsville.
You can always send me private emails outside of the forum, [email protected]
Stop by when you head this way. Let me know a day or two in advance so I will be sure and be here.
I was TF #671 but not sure if I am current.

I made a trip to Brownsville today, March 6, 2014 and visited with a couple of people there. They are setup with all the assets that I have seen in previous visits to LaGrange, Brownsville airport, Brownsville Central Ave, and now back on the airport, in a different facility. Not much going on right now, but they are expecting the FAA to give them PMA approval "next week". Let's hope that happens.
Forrest, I have sent you a direct email with a more detailed report.

Thanks for going on the field trip and the update, Larry. I am sure everyone is keeping their fingers crossed for legal, well made and affordable parts. Perhaps I am dreaming a little for wanting all three but you never know unless you ask.
                    Cheers,
                    Marty
