Boy, talk about perfect timing! I don't know how far you are from Knoxville, but THIS weekend they are having a shindig. I am planning on closing the deal on a T-craft this weekend and hopefully bring her home when weather permits. My current plans are to be based out of KSRB (Uppercumberland Airport) in the Cookeville, TN area. I trying to make some contacts with some folks that share the same interest.

I'm working on getting back to crispy. We finally got new spars finished for the right wing a couple weeks ago but had too many other irons in the fire to install at the moment. In the process of buying a farm/privte field(talk about an adventure, this one has been a doozy to get done), also got money making birds to complete, weather sucks, also working on getting ready to move, etc. As soon as I get settled into the new shop later this spring I will put crispy on the top of my back burner list,lol....(first behind money makers and honey do's).

There is actually a fairly new EAA chapter in morehead,ky(M97). Either one at mt sterling or morehead are great folks and would host if I ask. I was thinking about trying to put something together at my new place if I can get settled in and set up in time this summer. We'll see how that goes.

I'm up here in west liberty,ky(9I3). Live on the airport for a couple more months then hopefully be moving to our new place if all goes the way it should. Stop by anytime but be careful, I might put ya to work right now,lol. Maybe not. I'm in your area a couple times a year. I spend a week in byrdstown, tn every spring and fall(smallie fishing on dale hollow) we always stay there at star point. You might have to come out and have supper and a beer(or soda if that's your choice) with us next trip down.

If you want to meet people interested in Taylorcraft, just park it in the most visible spot on your airport, or a nearby airport. Make yourself visible too. If no one approaches you within one hour, start the plane, fly around the pattern twice, land and go back to the spot for another hour. More than likely, someone will approach you to strike up a conversation about the plane. Also, if you see someone standing by their plane in the most visible spot on the airport, go talk to them. ;-)

If none of this works, drive or walk around in the area where the T hangars are. If you see someone in an open T hangar stop and talk to them.
