  • Headliner attach info?

Our antique club in Boulder is restoring a basketcase BC-12(soon to fly) with supervised young men and women doing much of the work. No headliner attach pieces? exist. All we have is a new headliner w/ 3 bows. Does anyone have px or details of what the ends of the bows reside in(wood or metal clips?) so we can get it finished. No nearby T-crafts to examine, have looked through past posts.

    Thank you.

    Re: Headliner attach info?

The square tube running fore and aft at the top of the door opening should be drilled as needed to receive the ends of the headliner bows. The holes in the tube in this picture are for the screws to attach the wood across the top of the door opening, but it shows where you need to drill the holes if they are not already there. On my other plane the edge of the headliner fabric is held to the inner edge of the wood piece by a narrow strip of metal held in place with tiny screws.
