Strange occurrence at work

I work as an A&P at a repair station, and Friday some of the other guys, all younger than me are looking in a box that a mechanic from a flight school call Skybound, brought in, they ask me if I have any idea what those "things" are, in the box were 3 Shinn brake expanders, nobody had any idea what they were, I looked at the Taylorcraft calendar hanging off the back of my toolbox and told the guy from Skybound Flight School, that his mystery parts belong on planes like what is in the picture, it was supposed to go to the other Skybound in Atlanta, if I hadn't been there, someones brake expanders may have been "lost", gary
