  • Jim Swick's last airplane finally flies - with Airplane Repo star on the stick

This afternoon, EAA Hall of Fame builder Jim Swick's last aircraft took to the skies.

Jim passed in 2010 just before his latest clip wing T-Craft creation was ready to fly.

His son Mike passed in 2010 so the project has sat mostly idle for the last couple of years.

I was honored to have been asked by the family members to make the inaugural flight, and aside from a few snafus, everything went very well.

    The engine is a Rotec R-2800 - a 7 cylinder 110 horsepower radial engine

That thing looks amazing. I saw a few pics of it a couple months ago when looking up "t-craft" stuff. I'm glad it finally flew.
