  • Struts

Well I got my struts back from Wag Aero and they looked fine but it seems that I should have spent my money on the PVC tube I sent them in on something else, all I got back was a cardboard tube.
I was hoping to get the PVC tube back so I could find other uses for it as I spent over a hundred bucks for it and all I get is a cardboard tube which is useless for any other purpose.

My father-in law got his struts shipped back from Wag in a PVC tube and it arrived broken as if it had been dropped on its end. That was back in February... no damage to the struts, but it was a close call... surprised they didn't fall out.

      Re: Struts

I just found out from Wag Aero that the man that was incharge of that dept is no longer with WagAero. I called them up the other day and was told that John was no longer with them. It appears that my struts were probably the last ones he did and I am hoping that-while they were yellow tagged that they were done right.
I also found out that some of the struts were shipped in 2 different containers- some people put 2 struts in 2 different 4 inch pvc tubes-I never thought of that, now I and wondering if there would have been a weight savings, the 4 inch has a smaller wall thickness for sure. My shipment was right around 70 to 74 lbs for both the 6 inch pvc and the 1 foot cardboard tube I got back.
