July 11th, 12th, 13th, & 14th 2013: EAA Chapter 82 Grass Roots Fly-In

All aircraft welcome.

We will feature Vintage Aircraft, especially the ones made in Ohio: Taylorcraft, Aeronca and Funk.

Fly-In Breakfast on Sat & Sun by EAA Chapter #82 at 7AM. FANTASTIC FOOD!
This will be the 77th Year of Taylorcraft in Alliance. Ryan Newell, David Whitaker, along with Doug Taylor, Brian Matz, Forrest Barber and all of their families will be here to meet and greet the arrivals. We will have activities going on here on Thursday, July11th. for early arrivals.
This is the 76th Anniversary of the Piper Cub. The oldest E-2 “Taylor Cub” ser#25 will be here. Other designs of C.G. Taylor will be featured including the “Taylor-Bird”

We welcome ANY & ALL to arrive early that week and have some fun on Thursday too! Thursday is Pizza night. Friday is Fish Fry night. Saturday night will be Beef, Pork, Chicken and??? This will be served on the airport by a local vendor. Sunday will close up by Noon!

Many special forums are planned and we will have an Old Factory tour on Sat. if there is enough interest. We will have a Movie Theater set up with a new Media projector running many loops of Aviation stuff. Skydiving by Canton Air Sports. Light Sport & Ultra-Lites too!

Volunteers are needed in all areas, especially early in that week to help prepare the airport.

We are ready for 2013 field is mowed . Food concessions are arranged. three arrivals so far Come on in we are ready.. AND the weather Gods are going to improve it here on WED for all days thru Sunday. Hope you got Motels . parts are going to be sold. I hope to have information from the NEW improved Taylorcraft Owners Club they have not contacted me . I
will answer the incorrect posts in the Owners Club newsletter about the donations to Bob Ollerton and his staff .... ( Right after the fly-in and the Annual meeting of the Taylorcraft Foundation. See a lot of you here.... bye

Will post information in local newspaper next ; WE flew Ulster kids as Young Eagles last week-end . Got one up in the WACO NINE with Frank Pavliga as the PIC. He built her "Miss Gilmore" and will take her to Air Venture. HOPE headquarters prints the correct Model some time ; she is a Waco Nine .... not 9 check her out on face book. www.barberaircraft.com
