Alaska Tribe...if you are ski equipped and anywhere in the South Central area stop out at the Vogel Lake Cabin in the Kenai Wildlife Refuge next Saturday and Sunday, March 9 and 10. Stop in for a few hours or spend the night. There are still 2 bunks available plus floor space nice and close to the woodstove!

It's snowing hard in Wasilla this am. I don't think I'll make it to Vogel Lake. Hope you are enjoying it ... and can get home today! I had fun up at Fish Lake (Kuzina fly-in) yesterday. I think 22 different planes showed up!

Hi Rod, Sorry for the delay in responding. We did make it in to Vogel Lake, but getting out was a different story! We ended up weathered in until Monday. There are worse fates...plenty of food and firewood in a nice wilderness cabin and an extra day off from work...darn! The weather kept most visitors away, but Bob Picard made it in with his L-2 before the weather dropped. We had a great time. Yes...Valdez is in the plan, and Steve Long will be riding along as well. Hopefully we will have a nice T-Craft representation. Drop me a line a couple of days before Valdez and maybe we can park close to each other. Also, don't forget to save the following Saturday (May 18) for our annual Taylorcraft Fly-In at Skwentna!
