  • Not exactly a Taylorcraft but . . . . .

Had a chance to get my high performance endorsement last Sunday. No big deal, other than the aircraft I was able to do it in.

    I'm still smiling!

      Not A T-craft

      Craig,
I have owned two C-195's.Great Airplanes! How did ya like the visibility or should I say the lack of visibility?
Which engine did that one have on it?

Lack of visibility took a little getting used to. After taxiing around awhile it didn't seem that bad as long as you knew there wasn't anything in front of you. I'd hate to taxi one around a crowded fly-in without wing walkers.

        Engine was a 300hp Jake.

          C-195

          Craig,
My first one had the 300 Jake and the second had the 265hp(no turbo).I liked the 265 better because it used less gas, less oil,and had a higher TBO,plus there was almost no difference in cruise(if anything the 265 was a bit faster)and the difference in takeoff preformance wasn't all that no noticable either.
