  • Frisbie's Nearly Finished

Here are the latest photos of our '40 T-Craft.

I still have the weight and balance and some paperwork to finish the restoration. I have converted the engine to 75 hp and added a radio and intercom but have tried to keep the nostalgic look and feel outside. I'm using a borrowed propeller so don't complain about the ugly red tips. I'll tip the new propeller yellow.

        Wow. She's just beautiful!

And I like those brake pedals! Were those original equipment in 1940?

          Re: Frisbie's Nearly Finished

The brake pedals were modified years ago right after I slipped off them with wet shoes at a rather critical moment. The originals were about the size of a 50 cent piece and difficult to catch.

John, probably a little late, but it looks super. Really nice. The seats ? Did you have them made up or purchased them ? How thick ? How tall are you ? Could you take additional pictures of the seats and back ? Everything looks great. How long for the restortaion ?

              Thanks

The seats are memory foam about 2" thick. I only have about an hour on them but I put the same same thing in a Cub and we really enjoy the comfort. The seat bottom is firm and medium density while the back is medium and soft. I'm just over 6' and the extra headroom is great. The interior took about as long to accomplish as covering the entire bird!

The restoration took about 5 years after a starting accident.

                I'll post more pictures later.

                Happy Easter!!
