This last summer we hauled a standard "Porta Pot" out to our cabin. I think I could have hauled it in the Taylorcraft, but it would have taken a couple of trips. We used the C-180 (The "Honey Badger") and did it in one trip. Here are some pix. The boys cut the outhouse into sections with a Sawzall and flew it out in pieces. We then popriveted it back together and sealed the cutlines with metalized tape. It's all "Tall Cotton" now! We could have built an outhouse...but this project gives you a good reason to own a bigger airplane!
It's pretty chilly here tonight. Got about a foot of ice on the lake. Saw where the temp up northeast of Fairbanks was 68 degree F... below 0 earlier today. Altimeter setting showed around 30.80. Density altitude of 6500 feet below S.L. makes for pretty good performance. I wouldn't want any part of those temps.
I included a couple of pictures from a trip where we flew down to the Valdez STOL contest. It's really fun to spend time with your kids in a special setting like that. And to start the grandkids young! Plus a picture of a moose walking across the lawn while I was checking out the Taylorcraft forum.
