Springtime in Alaska

Here's springtime in Alaska at West Twin Lake 93 SW of Fairbanks. Not much snow this year, and what's there has been firmed up with frozen surface water over 33" of good ice. Northern pike and burbot swim below. Saw five wolves the following day crossing the lake and howling at the Taylorcraft. I build the camp in 1983 on 5 acres but a fire in 2002 cooked off half the property. New growth birch trees are visible in the background behind the camp.
