  • Wanted axle adapters skis

I'm looking for ski adapters for the tapered gear.
Called a local machine shop that used to make these and they finally told me they don't even have the plans anymore.
So, I'd like to buy or barrow (for copy by an approved shop) some axle adapters. I'm trying to install some airglass 2000's that were previously on a T-craft, he had straight axles.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

      Ski Adapters

Tyler, if you haven't had any luck, yet, let me know. I can send you a "napkin sketch" of the adapters I have for the 1200 Federals on my 1940 B. These Federals came from a Piper Cub - same problem - no tapered axle. I'm not a draftsman, but I am a mechanical engineer so I think I can give you a half decent sketch. There are no 337's or anything fo these parts - sorry! Regards, Dave Nuss

        ski adapters

        Thanks for the response.
I have a solution for the axle adapters. I got some good help from local guys. Dick and Tom we're both very sure to help me understand the importance of reinforced gear legs. I would not have known about that with out their shared experience. Next hurdle is the 337 for the airglas 2000's, they aren't on the TC and there is no STC. Does anyone have a 337 for this ski that they could share with me?

        thanks
