  • Clip wing - opinions

I would like to start a clip wing project and have putting together all the information I can. I saw the build up wing by Swick at Oshkosh (2009)and really liked it. What are advantages/disadvantages of clipping a stock wing vs. building up a new wing like the Swick wing.

    Thanks in advance for advice.

You are not too far away from me here in NC. You should stop by sometime and see if a clipwing is what you want. I'd be happy to take you up. I have 4 of them in my shop right now all of different origins. If you search for "acroeric" on youtube you will see some videos of me in my O-200 powered Swick. Also- a few pictures etc on my webpage at www.bullyaero.com
Stop by anytime. I have a guy here this week all the way from Los Angeles to look at/ fly them. Also- a high school kid that has been helping at the hangar is looking to start one soon too. Very cool little airplanes.

Flying is easy- to go up you pull back, to go down you pull back a little farther.

Eric, Thanks for the reply and I have seen the video and it is great. I would like to take you up on your offer and come up sometime and check things out. Need to get through end of shcool year before I consider it.
