Re: Lost Phone - Found Phone

    To all:
Great News! My phone was turned in to the lost and found at the little league ball park (2 towns away) where we watched our Niece play T-Ball on May 4. The league president somehow figured out who to call and got in touch with my wife. I am so appreciative to whoever turned it in. Restores my faith in humanity. It is nice have my good old trusty Samsung Rugby II back in hand with all my contacts intact.

Thanks to all of you who sent me your contact information. I must say... I have to figure out how to backup all my contacts. I was so lost for a week!

I can still be reached at the regular number:

Re: Lost Phone - Found Phone

A few years ago, I accidentally left my cell phone in the backseat of a taxi in Mexico City.

The next passenger found it and when he arrived at home he somehow decided to call my brother in Pensacola who doesn't speak Spanish nor did he have any idea that I was in Mexico. Fortunately, the finder spoke some English, but my brother was totally baffled at first.

Finally after some phone calls amongst family members, my wife confirmed that I was in Mexico, but she didn't know how to get in touch with me. So she contacted my secretary who knew where I was staying.

Meanwhile I was in the lobby of my hotel talking to the reception desk trying to figure out if we could call the taxi company when a call from my secretary came to the reception desk.

Anyway, thanks to extraordinary efforts by quite a few people who had nothing to gain from helping me, I had my phone back within a couple of hours.

Like Terry, I'm reminded how generally good people really are.
