  • WTB Federal Ski Bushings

Want to Purchase Ski Bushings for the Federal A1500 Series Skis or a blueprint to build them myself.

These would be the Tapered Shaft Bushings for a Taylorcraft

    Intheair2,
If you open this link and scroll down through the page about 4 comments...you should see some pix and Paint sketches that might give you some ideas. The bushings depicted have small raised areas on the outer surface, which help to keep the rubber bushings centralized on the tapered bushing, to minimize horizontal movement. The sideloads on the ski tend to make the ski pedestal/compressed rubber bushing combination, "scoot" sideways on the machined bushing that goes over the tapered axle. The compressed rubber bushing when "fattened up" tends to grip the raised portions. Doesn't always work perfectly, but that's the idea.

    Hope this helps. Dick
