  • Another Engine For Sale

I have a low time Cont. A-65 on my T-Craft (Yellow Duck) Runs great, does not burn any oil. Clean.

Reason for selling: I have short grass strip and want an 85-100 so I can get out with two in summer.

Engine is on my T-Craft and Starts first pull normally, unless I screw up. You can come here and start, and run it. Nothing wrong with it, just need a little more HP to get out.

Price : $6500. Core if you have one would be nice.

I am in New Iberia LA Tel 337-367-0070 or you can e-mail me at [email protected]

No it wouldn't, because it goes by weight. Now proposed at 1232 lbs. That is the only thing I know of. However, I have decided to keep my engine and not change it. Too much work.

        ahh 1232#
If that is correct ,we have a problem Houston
All the 85HPs BCs are certified at 1280 # gross, not 1200# so if one was to make it a 85 HP the gross goes up i do believe.
I sure would hate for you to do the swap and loose your medical and have a plane that is 48 certified pounds too heavy. not sure you can go back.
I think Norm is Right on the weight thing but maybe not on the going back to 65HP.

It's a shame the sport ticket does not include the C172 limited to two people as its the safest plane out there and oh sooo easy to land for the old Farts and low hours people

Jump in here tribe members . I promice to be nice

          Reason for selling L-2

I sold my L-2 because it would not fall into the weight limit as now set (1232 lbs)

The EAA people at Sun-N-Fun indicated that the gross weight of the final rule may be up to 1300 lbs. Hope that they are correct.

I would and so would lots of others, about the weight. Even heard 1600 # . To allow the 150's and such. But I wouldn't bet on it'

Think they are goiing to string us alone for some time. If so, I will purchase an Motor Glider. No medical required here.

Initial gross weight of 1200# CAN stay the same..... Your choice.

I saw a 180 hp BC12D at 1200 gross.... Lets get the darn Sport Pilot in effect ; THEN make the necessary changes to up the gross weights. Believe me I have sent many comments. I am opting for #1500 lbs to include the F-19 tooi

During the rule makeing process, I submitted a comment supporting a max weight of 1500 lbs with the justification that this would allow the classic planes that have electrical systems and starters. Tried to make it a safety issue. Hope the rule is approved and published soon so we will know how to comply.

Getting rid of the cost and hassle factor of the medical would be great.
