WARNING: I have not laid eyes on this project, have not spoken to anyone who has laid eyes on it, and make no representations whatsoever. This is a blind lead.
The late Ken Brock, of gyrocopter fame, apparently acquired a Taylorcraft project before he died. Reportedly it had been covered, but Ken wanted to remove the covering and do a better job. The story I was told is that he took the (new) covering off in preparation to re-cover it, and then very sadly died in the wreck of a Thorp T-18 at his private airstrip in El Mirage, CA.
Mr. Brock's widow Marie Brock is reportedly interested in selling the project.
I must request (on behalf of my many gyrocopter friends and the hundreds of experimental aircraft builders who Ken Brock assisted), that you approach Mrs. Brock with the utmost respect and restraint. It will get back and reflect poorly on me personally if any callers are less than respectful.
If you call, please let her know that Mr. and Mrs. Bob Behrens was introduced into a Taylorcraft Forum member at the model airplane show by a mutual friend, and that Mrs. Behrens provided the phone number if someone is interested in the T-craft.
If you are seriously interested, contact Marie Brock at 714-694-1005
