  • Rudder Arm

Can someone tell me if a Rudder Arm (That's what Wagaero call's it)that is used on the J-3 through PA-18 series will fit on my 1946 BC-12D. The shank on my Rudder Arm broke and the length of the shank is 1/2 inch. Can this be repaired and if so how can a new shank the proper length be installed.
When I say Rudder Arm I'm talking about the piece that the tail wheel springs attached to. Hope I can get some input..Thanks N5059M

    Re: Rudder Arm

    Sal,
I believe the rudder arm from Wag is virtually identical. The diameter of the shank is the only critical dimension here, so call wag and ask then to measure one if you need to.

I don't think there is any safe way to repair your old one. Besides, would trust a repaired part that takes this much abuse?
    Best Regards,
