  • Wanted metal prop for 65hp T-Craft

Just bought a BC12D that has a sensenich 74CK-2-48. Problem is there is alot of climb and not much for cruise speed (85 or so). Measuring the prop it comes out at 72". I checked the TC sheet and it says the lower diameter limits are 72.5 on a metal sensenich. I am going to take the prop to maxwell prop shop this week to check limits. I would like to buy a 74" mccauley or sensenich and maybe sell this prop when I get it yellow tagged to someone that can use it. If any of you have a prop for sale, maybe even a 72-42 wood sensenich email me @ [email protected]
    Thanks

    Seems like a 48 would be a good cruise prop. I have a 65hp with a [metal] 74 38, and I cruise around 85 (90 on a good day).

took the prop in to Maxwell to see what we have. This prop measures 72" and will go on an 85hp t-craft, chief, or champ. this is according to the sensenich manual at the propeller shop. I am going to have it O/H and sell with tag. Let me know if anyone is interested it should be done in a few days. I would really like to trade for a longer (65hp) prop. Thanks [email protected]

forgot to mention the prop will have a 46 pitch on it when it comes out of the prop shop. It's a half inch too short for a 65 but right in the ballpark for an 85.
