Re: Need Gas Cap
Local tractor dealer, no postage needed! And use a unvented/solid one on the header tank what you exchange before flight if/when parked outside so rain does not get in along the stick! ( sorry the fuelgauge).
Yes I have one as I am stored outside but it is has tab riveted on it marked : change before flight!
If yo need gaskets for the caps by another one and use the gaskets and through away the caps as it is hard to find a good gasket material what will stand to gasoline. leader will do as well.

Re: Need Gas Cap
I am hopefully going to fly my plane home soon (wx/lordwillin), and probably order this cap soon too. Is there anything I should know about bending the pipe? Or can I just take a pair of pliers or something to it.Last edited by akndrifter; 02-16-2009, 15:03.Catch the fish, to make the money, to buy the bread, to gather the strength, to catch the fish...

Re: Need Gas Cap
Easier to bend with out flattening (kinking) the vent pipe shut. Can also bend in a smaller (sharper) radius. Also see "Hints for Homebuilders" videos: Tube and Fabric; Bending Tubing, on the EAA web page.Originally posted by akndrifter View Post'Scuse my ignorance, but what does the sand do?
