I have one complete set of 1946 BC12D taylorcraft struts for sale. They look and sound great,no rattling inside when you turn them end over end. THEY DO NEED TO BE INSPECTED FOR THE "AD". I will take $200 each or $600 for the entire set. If one of them doesn't pass I will refund your money for each strut that doesn't pass. If you give me $600 for all 4 and one fails I will refund $150 for the one that fails.If 2 fail then I will refund $300,etc. If you just buy one or two for $200 each then I will refund your money for each strut should it fail. I don't think you will have any problem getting them to pass. These struts have been on an airplane that has been hangered for at least the past 30 years and they are in great shape,BUT one of the rear struts does have a small dent on it. Not sure what caused it but it has been flying with it for many years with no problems. The only reason we did not have these inspected is because we had an extra set of new seal struts from a project airplane and it is a 5 hour drive to the nearest,most affordable place to have them inspected.
I also have 3 rear pre-war struts(small diameter).They too look and sound perfect. I will take $200 each or $300 for a set of two. Same rules apply as above. I will refund only if they fail AD inspection. If you buy two as a package and one fails then I will either replace it with the third one I have(if still available)or refund $150.If you just buy one at a cost of $200 and it fails then I will refund $200.
