  • Project and/or parts

Well, I tried to sell the old girl before I deployed, but still have her and still have no time to work on her, so, 33901 is back up for sale. I’m asking $12K for everything, but I’m willing to let the “extras” go separately. Here’s what I have extra. NOS cowls; upper, lower, nosebowl. Looking to get $1200 for it. Order from “the company” for $1500 or save yourself 300 bucks and know you’ll actually get it. I also have a set of NOS wing tanks with new caps, straps, plumbing, and valves. Looking for $1,000 out of them. I have 4 chrome cylinders with tags and would like to get 2,000 for them. The project itself is a 1941 BC12-65 Deluxe. The fuselage has been blasted, primed, and covered through second coat of silver. New rudder cables routed and it’s set up for a skylight. The tail feathers are covered up to Polybrush, but still need stitching. I also have an additional set of tail feathers, but they need work and I’ll sell those separate. The wings are prewar and will need a fair amount of work. I had planned to completely rebuild them with new spars, but that is an undertaking that I have neither the time, nor skill to tackle alone. The spars that are in them may be serviceable, but have a couple of repairs and are inexpensive enough to replace if you have the ability to make them yourself. There are also 5 ailerons there. The FWF is a 65 Cont with metal prop, I have 3 taper shaft hubs and extra engine mount as well. I also have a gaggle of BC12-D ribs, compression struts, wires, a few aileron hinges, and a decent looking set of front spars. There are also 8 wheels and a set of unused fiberglass wheel pants and brackets. As best I can tell, the project is complete with the exception of the windshield. Get from Cee Baily or Spruce. Folks, there is a bunch of stuff here and I have 12K in it, but will entertain serious offers and will email photos of anything you’d like to see. You’re also welcome to come have a look. The project is in my hangar at 5A2 and in the not to distant future I intend to buy something that is already flying, so I will need the hangar space. I’ll give the guys and gals here first shot at this, but will be putting the tanks, cowlings, etc. on ebay soon.

Are you willing to deal on just the lower cowl?

    Thanks,

Is the cowling for the long mount or short?

I need an upper cowl and nosebowl for my 46 BC12D but funds are an issue for the immediate time. I need to measure the length of the upper cowl. I could also use the lower cowl. I really do need to do some measuring before I commit to anything. Thanks,
          Wayne
