  • 1940 Bl-65 $7500

    Gentleman,

Well the F-19 is sold and in its new home in Texas it's time to get the the BL off to someone else's hanger if there is any interest.
I think I just need to buy a flying T-craft and wait till I have more time to think about another restoration.

    The good:

This is a pretty complete and original A/C with the big tach etc.
Only the nose tank was installed from the factory but I have a prewar wingtank from another project. Original sheet metal in good condition, engine runs great all logs back to 43. tubing is very good.
Reasonably unmolested example of a basic 1940 BL

    The Bad:

needs recover, ailerons need rebuild (have new spars milled for them)
Wings are going to need the standard repairs you would expect for something of this vintage.

    Project includes:

    2 sets of tailfeathers
    wingtank
    extra nose tank
    Cont. nosebowl
    Cont. mount
    new bungees
    new brake linings

I have an A-65 complete with a hub, logs, exhaust etc. that I would consider selling with this if someone wanted it. It came from wind damaged Luscombe here at the field 10 years ago.
