I am in somewhat dire need of a set of L-2 shock cord struts. Just realized while in the process of replacing shock cords that mine are non-stock and somewhat cobbled up homemade things. Please let me know if you can help. Thanks!!!

Re: L-2B Shock Cord Struts
Marty I have a complete landing gear assmebly for an L-2
I would want to sell the whole thing though, landing gear
with the shock struts . They have a light coat of surface rust and
i would want to sandblast them and punch test them before I
would want to sell them .........Make sure they are airworhy !!
as far as price something fair .

Re: L-2B Shock Cord Struts
Forrest,
The ship is a 'B' with 1,300 lbs gross. I take it that is what you mean? Also, I e-mailed you again awhile back regarding my parts. How's the pile???
Dick,
It is difficult to determine exactly what you mean, as the struts I currently have do not resemble any L-2 struts. Half moon part???Cheers,
Marty

Re: L-2B Shock Cord Struts
Your pile is neat! Your struts that you sent a picture of are not anything Taylorcraft ever used. You have a parts plane and we still have to determine many things , like a 1300 lb gross??
Dick I will assemble his stuff and maybe you come on over one day and we will scratch our heads. It is my turn to buy lunch.Taylorcraft Foundation, Inc

Re: L-2B Shock Cord Struts
Forrest and Dick,
I measured the front tube today, 1 1/2 inch. Forrest, why not the 1,300 lb gross??? I'm confused, I thought 'B' models were 1,300......Cheers,
Marty

Re: L-2B Shock Cord Struts
Dick,
That is what I thought, but Forrest threw me off with his comment about the 1,300 lb gross. I'm not sure where he was going with that. All the paperwork I have is for 1,300. ?????Cheers,
Marty
