I was talking with my A&P on Friday when he mentioned Bob wanted to sell his Tcraft project so he could work on his Luscombe. Bob recently purchased this project from Howard. Here is what Bob had to say after I asked him if I could mention it to the Tcraft forum:
"Yes, I would sell the project, but not less than I have in it which
is $8500.00. I want to do the Luscombe project 1st, so would sell
the Taylorcraft. Airplane is NOT broken, has ceconite 102 fabric
sleeves (was planning on using Superflite system), fuselage is
blasted, inspected and epoxy primed, engine has around 700+ hours
SMOH, metal prop, overhauled 1939 style (big)Tac-oil pres-oil temp,
new cutout for 1939 instrument panel, 1939 round control wheels, and
all other parts are labeled as to what they are. Also the old fabric
for any layout or other needs. Cowling is the enclosed type and the
struts are one side 1939, and the other side 1946, elevator trim is
1946 style. This plane was taken apart to recover and was not a
basket case, it needs a general cleanup and put back together.
Airplane is stored in its own dry garage and new owner must come and
get it. The airplane is not advertised anywhere at this time.
I am going to N Ireland tomorrow and will be gone about two weeks to
visit my daughter."
If you are interested, he'll be back in two weeks. His e-mail is [email protected] and he lives just south of Front Royal, VA. - Mike
