Re: For Sale: BC-12D Project
Oh OUCH Bob. That really makes it hurt. I can imagine your sadness. I would feel a "real mixture " of emotion if the BC12D my dad and I flew to Oshkosh #1(1970) were found to have been wacked up to a total loss. At least I know ours is safe (at least I hope still in 2005 not exposed to weather) The present owner will not sell. Also he refuses to get her back in the air with the "someday me or perhaps my son who learned to fly in her will restore her thought process is in control." No joy for anyone else with this all too common type hoard mentality. Least I know I have a chance one day to get her back as a plane that can once again fly.
Thats not to say with a lot of work Mikes will not fly again. Just that the older I get the more realistic I become too. (Thank goodness there are a lot of younger dreamers that still move mountains too)
Your post elicited many emotions!
